The game had an ad in GAMEST #110 and a review from the 1993 Amusement Machine (AM) Show in #111, and in both cases we see more screenshots of what is likely Revision B. Once again, we see the character positions do not match the player order in the opening, and the ring counts are missing.

Capcom Magazine. Precursor to Club Capcom, these mags were actually ~50 page inserts that came with certain issues of the Japanese bi-weekly video game publication Family Computer Magazine (aka FamiMaga).The first issue contains mostly maps and strategies for popular Capcom games, but the second is very similar to Club Capcom with its special interest columns, giveaways and game previews.

Here's a blast from the past for ya'll - a guide for the original Model 2 arcade version of Dead or Alive entitled: Video Game Magazine Gamest Mook Vol. 57 - Dead or Alive (121MB PDF). It includes move lists, combo suggestions, backstories, frame data, concept art and a nice sized interview with the original team.
A while ago, I picked up the Gamest magazine from 1987 that first reveals this trick. It has around 6 pages of detailed OutRun diagrams showing how to pull it off at various stages of the game. Some of the laserdiscs and VHSs released in Japan in the 80s show the trick in action too.
